Today marks one year of Between the Pine! A year full of creating, dreaming, and learning. So much learning. I have walked out of my comfort zone and chased a dream I never thought I would be good enough for. Along the way I have met incredible humans I admire so much, and more than anything, I have found freedom in allowing myself to tell a story through recipes & gatherings.
Between the Pine has taught me countless lessons, but one thing that stands out is how putting myself out there along with my own recipes and photos can be a scary yet enriching moment. So often doubts creep into my head, but I am quickly reminded by a simple email, word of encouragement, or even by taking a deep breath, that there is purpose in every single one of my posts. I have come to understand the beauty of seeing the world through a camera lens, the sanctuary the kitchen is for me, and the absolute joy that comes with creating a place for friends to gather.
As I sit on my couch and type this, I can’t help but get a lil teary eyed at how thankful I am to all of you. To the friends who have sat with me in times of discouragement and jumped for joy with me when we have seen the little victories, to other bloggers who have taken the time to listen, encourage, and dream with me, to every single one of you who reads Between the Pine. My goodness I am so humbled, and just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Okay, now that we have all the mushy things out of the way, I am really, really excited for what this next year holds for Between the Pine. There are quite a few plans in place to grow Between the Pine and as a result of that, I am taking a step back in other places of my career to truly pursue my little corner of the world. Thanks for following along, and I cannot wait to share a table with you (in real life or virtually) this coming year.
